Style Guides
I started creating style guides as an outlet for my love of content creation, trend forecasting, and sourcing vintage and unique pieces. Through managing my Depop and Poshmark accounts, I unknowingly developed these skills by curating personalized style bundles and marketing them to my 8,000 followers. Over the past four years, these skills have evolved into true passions. It all began with a vintage "Paul Frank" tank top I found at Goodwill. I paired it with a skirt I no longer wore, took photos, and listed them as a set on Depop. Within 24 hours, it sold. From there, I continued sourcing pieces from thrift stores and my own closet, using social media to engage my audience and drive sales. When COVID-19 hit, I adapted by creating personalized style bundles. Customers would send me Pinterest inspiration, and I curated looks from Depop and Poshmark that matched their desired aesthetic. This not only fit the no-contact world we were in, but it also allowed me to still make meaningful connections through my love for fashion. In just two weeks, I had made $850 in profit, and learned how to create compelling content, stay on top of trends, and market products effectively to boost engagement and increase sales.
